HBN is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Executive Board for the 2014-2015 academic year! The following open positions are available for any Johns Hopkins affiliated graduate students (M.S., Ph.D., M.B.A.) or post docs:

Director of Industry Relations

  • Responsible for reaching out and forming potential partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies
  • Extending HBN’s brand and mission to the corporate environment
  • Creating a list of contacts from various companies
  • Serve as HBN’s liaison to gain corporate sponsorship

Director of Events and Marketing

  • Responsible for organizing and executing the logistics and advertising of HBN events
  • Advertise events on JHU list-serves, social media, Transcript and HBN website
  • Reserving rooms and venues
  • Setting up registration and RSVP for Events
  • Writing up a summary for each HBN event

Director of University Relations

  • Responsible for reaching out and establishing connections among JHU campuses
  • Forming collaborations with various JHU student groups (i.e. Business and Consulting Club, Biomedical Careers Initiative, etc.)
  • Responsible for reaching out and establishing connections among additional Biotech groups similar to HBN at other schools (i.e. University of MD)
  • Creating joint efforts between these groups for potential events and activities

Director of Creative Media

  • Maintaining visual design on the HBN website
  • Taking video recordings of HBN Events and uploading to the HBN website/Youtube
  • Design flyers, advertisements for HBN events
  • Responsible for taking pictures at HBN events and board members to use on the HBN website

We are happy to hear your thoughts on what you can bring to HBN and how to accommodate new ideas into our organization. We are always looking for Transcript writers and individuals to volunteer at our campus-wide events.
