The Hopkins Biotech Network (HBN) is happy to welcome the 2018 Johns Hopkins graduate students starting their first year and returning students in all disciplines of the University. Our presence was felt recently at the School of Medicine and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (SPH) Student Activities events in July and August. HBN representatives: President, Jessica Joseph (PhD Candidate for the School of Medicine), Director of Marketing, Eva Shrestha, (PhD Candidate for the School of Medicine) and newest board member Director of Entrepreneurship, Dimitri Tselenchuk (PhD Candidate for the School of Medicine) were successful in recruiting 30 graduate students to sign up for The Transcript newsletter of HBN and for future HBN involvement.
The Hopkins Biotech Network (HBN) was also represented at the Student Activities Fair at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health (SPH) by HBN Co-Director of Alumni Relations, Danielle Bouchard (PhD Candidate for the School of Public Health) and HBN President, Jessica Joseph, where they had over 50 Masters (MPH, MHS, ScM) and Ph.D. students from all departments sign up for The Transcript newsletter of HBN. Many students expressed interest in becoming involved with the group and provided great ideas for unique speakers to bring in and topics to cover for future HBN events. We hope many of these events will also be of interest to our HBN members from The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, where HBN is also a very active student group.
We look forward to seeing our new and current members at these future events!
