Bioinformatics Job Opening:

Summary of Position:

Directs and guides DNA/RNA sequence database searches and the computational analysis of resulting data.  Implements end-users’ needs in database searching and integration, which includes interpretation of similarity of sequence searches, multiple sequence alignments and gene expression patterns and the quality control of sequence data.  Maintains the computational infrastructure and controls the flow of samples and information for large-scale studies. Provides web-based bioinformatics and access to public and proprietary relational databases. Develops and applies computational tools. Works in collaboration with drug discovery project teams.


  • Develop computational tools for genomics and transcriptomics, specifically for analysis of single cell gene expression data
  • Communicate research results through conference presentations, scientific publications, or project reports.
  • Work closely with biologist, biochemists, and wet lab technicians and scientists to understand analytical workflows and help improve quality and performance in data acquisition and analysis

                                                                   Required Qualifications:

  • D. in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Biological Sciences
  • 3+ years of postdoc or industry experience
  • Strong analytical thinking and computational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Python, R, Shell scripting, Git, and Docker
  • Strong knowledge of single cell RNAseq sample preparation workflows and data analysis methods and tools
  • Experience with application of machine learning and statistical methods for gene expression data analysis
  • Familiarity with Linux and cloud computing
  • Familiarity with NGS instrumentation and platforms
  • Familiarity with NGS tools for read trimming, sequence search, alignment, filtering, genome browsers, alignment viewers, etc.
  • Familiarity with NGS databases and references
  • Pharmaceutical or neuroscience work experience is a plus

Software Engineer Job Opening:


  • Develop software tools and application for processing and analysis of single cell RNAseq data
  • Big data style handling of genomics sequencing raw and processed data
  • Management of massive relational and non-relational DBs, raw files, metadata, and analysis results
  • Develop container-based modular applications as a data analysis pipeline
  • Adopt and modify required bioinformatics tools and implement new applications to address single cell data processing and analysis challenges 

                                                              Required Qualifications

  • S. or M.S. in computer engineering, computer science, or statistics
  • 3+ years of work experience
  • Strong analytical thinking and computational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High performance and cloud computing experience, specifically with GCP
  • Big data handling and analysis experience
  • Proficiency in Linux, Docker, Python, Git and experience with C or Java

 Junior Scientist Job Opening at Noble Life Sciences:

The Company Noble Life Sciences (Woodbine, MD) is a contract research organization (CRO) providing services in the fields of preclinical drug, vaccine and medical device development, from product discovery to GLP- compliant studies for regulatory submissions. The Position Noble Life Sciences is seeking a highly talented and motivated Junior Scientist with experience in virology immunology to join a team developing assays and models for the characterization of vaccines and antivirals specific to SARS-CoV2 and other BSL3 pathogens. The position will involve the development and execution of cellular and viral assays and animal models to characterize the activity of experimental therapeutics and vaccines. These studies are aimed at providing data for the development and registration of new pharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Designing and implementing research protocols
• Communicating ideas and results to team members
• Understanding relevant scientific literature
• Developing hypothesis and experimental plans for in vitro assays and in vivo models
• Developing SOPs for new procedures, methods and instrumentation
• Collecting and preparing timely records for all research work
• Presenting research results in meetings; writing and publishing white papers and research articles
• Effectively using available resources to complete research projects successfully withing the set timelines
• Supervising junior team members
Qualifications & Specifications:
• PhD in virology with 0-3 years postdoctoral experience
• Experience in the design, development, execution and data analysis of in vitro assays such as plaque assays, TCID50, virus culture, flow cytometry, qRT-PCR, ELISA passed assays.
• Animal model experience with particular focus on virology (preferably SARS-COV2, Influenza, RSV), experience working with mice, hamsters, and ferrets is a plus.
• Ability or willingness to work in a BSL3 & ABSL3 containment labs.
