We are seeking an imaging scientist to work with multiple labs in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology for the design and implementation of imaging approaches to address a diverse array of cell biological questions. The ideal candidate will be intellectually engaged as a full partner in developing innovative techniques and applications for developing projects with multiple labs. Additional responsibilities include training graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in imaging approaches, quality control, maintenance of instruments, preparation of manuscripts and grant applications, as well as presenting of the research at in-house and national meetings. You will function as a resource in advanced microscopy techniques and methodologies including live cell imaging, FRET, FLIM, FRAP, FCS and TIRF.
Ph.D. in a relevant scientific area is required.
Seven (7) years of relevant and productive post-degree work experience in biophysics, imaging, technology or similar areas.
Supervisory experience preferred.
